WAEC reacts to confirmed topics for 2024/2025 WASSCE and BECE

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) ahead of the conduct of this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination and Basic Education Certificate Examination has cautioned students to disregard purported confirmed topics for the examinations.
The non-profit-making organization in a post sighted by Thisterm.com said the so-called WAEC confirmed topics are not related to the upcoming 2024 BECE and WASSCE for Schools slated for July and August/September respectively
Meanwhile, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) management has released sample questions for subjects to be written in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) based on the new Ghana Education Service curriculum.
2024 BECE subjects
According to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the following subjects shall be available to candidates taking the Basic Education Certificate Examination from 2024:
- Arabic
- Career Technology
- Computing
- Creative Art and Design
- English Language
- French
- Ghanaian Languages:
- Dagaare
- Dagbani
- Dangme
- Ewe
- Fante
- Ga
- Gonja
- Kasem
- Nzema
- Twi (Akuapem)
- Twi (Asante)
- Mathematics
- Religious and Moral Education
- Science
- Social Studies
