WAEC releases 2024/25 BECE questions sample, guidelines booklet
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) as part of an effort to help students to sit for the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination to better understand the nature of the examination has released a booklet containing sample questions and guidelines for the BECE.
This come after the not-for-profit-making organization (WAE) early this year announced that final-year Junior High School (JHS) students or BECE for School Candidates will be examined on the new Common Core Curriculum.
In a blog post sighted by Thisterm.com, the Council said the regulations in the booklet in PDF format are meant to guide teachers and candidates preparing for the national examination to be conducted effectively this academic year
“This booklet contains the Syllabus topics, Regulations, Schemes of Examination and Sample Questions for subjects of the Basic Education Certificate Examination that will be taken in Ghana with effect from 2024.
The BECE will be administered to school candidates in the third year of the Junior High School Education programme. The examination will test the extent to which candidates have covered the content of the teaching curricula approved by the Ministry of Education,” it said.
