WAEC redesign Waecgh.org ahead of 2023 WASSCE results release
The management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) following an official announcement to release this year’s WASSCE for School results on December 14, 2023, has redesigned its official website https://waecgh.org.
An official of the non-profit organization (WAEC) in a discussion with Thisterm.com said the new design is to make the website user-friendly to members of the general public, particularly students who are the main visitors of the site.
Asked if the https://waecgh.org new interface is inspired by the October 16, 2023, cyber attack, the WAEC official said no adding that adequate security measures have been put in place to safeguard the site against future attacks.
The official website of WAEC https://www.waecgh.org was hacked by anonymous cybercriminals in the early hours of October 16, 2023. The hackers replaced the education-related content on the website with gambling content.
How to buy WASSCE results checker card
1. Visit the WASSCE Checker Cards website
2. Click on the “Buy Now” button.
3. Fill in the details by adding your First name, Last name, Phone number and E-mail address.
4. Scroll down and click on “Proceed To Payment”.
5. Select “Pay with Mobile Money” and enter your Mobile Money (MoMo) number.
6. Click on “Confirm”.
7. Approve payment on your phone by entering your Mobile Money (MoMo) PIN.
How to check WASSCE results
1. Visit the WASSCE result portal
2. Enter your Index Number.
3. Select the Type of Examination (e.g. WASSCE).
4. Select your Examination Year eg. 2023.
5. Enter your Date of Birth
6. Enter the Serial Number found on the Voucher.
7. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Voucher eg. 012345678912.
8. Confirm your Index Number and Examination Year. This is to ensure that your examination information is correct.
9. Click on Submit button and wait for the display in the popup window. This may take several minutes.
How to print 2023 WASSCE results
1. After clicking on Submit and the WASSCE result displayed
2. Use the shortcut CTRL+P to prepare the results for print
3. At the destination area select Save as PDF
4. Click on the Print button below to save the 2023 WASSCE result on your device.
5. Go to any nearby Internet cafe or printing press to print the result in hard copy.
