WAEC completes upload of 2023 WASSCE for School results online

The West African Examinations Council after completing the upload of this year’s WASSCE for School results online, on December 18, 2023, is expected to release the outcomes of students who sat for the International examination.

This come after an official of the Council reacting to the delay in the release of the WASSCE result Saturday said his outfit was working tirelessly to prepare and upload results, intending to release them on December 18, 2023.

“Our team is working tirelessly to prepare and upload results, with the aim of releasing them on December 18, hopefully. We appreciate your patience,” the staff of the West African Examinations Council disclosed on Saturday.

A total of 447,204 candidates, made up of 211,834 males and 235,370 females drawn from 975 public and private Senior High Schools entered for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School.

This figure indicates an increase of 5.8% compared to the 2022 entry figure of 422,883. The WASSCE took place at 834 centres. A total of 60 subjects, comprising 4 core and 56 electives were made available to candidates to choose from.

The 2023 edition of the WASSCE for School Candidates commenced on Monday, July 31, 2023, with the Visual Art Project work. The international examination administered at 834 examination centres ended on September 26, 2023.

How to buy WASSCE result checker card

1. Visit the WASSCE checker card website

2. Click on the “Buy Now” button.

3. Fill in the details by adding your First name, Last name, Phone number and E-mail address.

4. Scroll down and click on “Proceed To Payment”.

5. Select “Pay with Mobile Money” and enter your MoMo number.

6. Click on “Confirm”.

7. Approve payment on your phone by entering your Mobile Money Pin.

How to check WASSCE result

1. Visit the WASSCE result portal

2. Enter your Index number

3. Select Examination type (WASSCE School)

4. Select Examination year (2023)

5. Enter your Date of birth (day-month-year)

6. Enter your voucher card serial number

7. Enter the PIN on the voucher card

8. Re-enter your Index number and

9. Select Examination year (2023)

10. Click on the Submit button and wait for your results to be displayed in the next window.
