In an exclusive interview with the UEW media, the Minister in Charge of Education and Bosomtwe Member of Parliament said the university’s solid foundation and unveiled plans are likely to catapult it to international standards.

“I promise to work with the university. The leadership has outlined for me some of the great things they intend to do, and I’m fully in support. I believe UEW has the potential to become the best university for education in the world, like Columbia and Teachers College, and what they do there,” he affirmed.

Commending the management of the Education University he said “We are the only ones that can stop ourselves from becoming the best. So, I have full confidence in the current leadership of UEW. I’m expecting so much from them.”

“I’ve asked the Vice-Chancellor to endeavor to bring the university together. There should be no factions. The only faction that should be there should be UEW, and its future should be something that guides us all,” he advised.

The Minister for Education said this at a closed-door meeting where the management of the University of Education (UEW) introduced the Chancellor, Neenyi Ghartey VII, and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual to him.
