The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) as part of efforts to leverage technology and training to elevate the quality of private education has partnered with KA Technologies (KAT), the manufacturers of Teachers Mate 1 (TM1) laptops.

The partnership follows a meeting held between KA Technologies (KAT) and the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) marking a significant milestone in the journey towards improving private education in Ghana.

At the partnership meeting, the directors of KAT and GNACOPS presented their visions and explored potential collaborations aimed at leveraging technology and training to elevate the quality of private education in the country.

KA Technologies (KAT) is an indigenous private limited liability company, duly registered in Ghana under the Companies Act, 2019 (ACT 992), engaged in Manufacturing, Training, Connectivity and Technology Solutions for identifiable societal segments such as education, healthcare, and agriculture, among others.

In the 2021 academic year, the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) secured a deal with an allied international agency from China and the United States of America to distribute laptops to all private school teachers in the country.

The spokesman for GNACOPS in a statement sighted by Thisterm.com said the initiative is to support and empower private education delivery through the digital literacy project that the council prioritize to ensure its successful implementation.

The leadership of the Council and their international partners had a crunch meeting at the Council’s National office on 10th May 2021 to mainly agree on the specifications, manufacturing details and the time for the laptops to be made available to the Council” the GNACOPS spokesperson stated.

The Executive Director of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools, Enoch Kwasi Gyetuah, said the laptops will be given to all private school teachers through their respective school owners or managers.

He said the laptop initiative is taken by the Private Schools Council to support and empower Private Education delivery through the digital literacy project that the council prioritize to ensure its successful implementation.
