NTC releases 2024/2025 PGDE and Degree Holders GTLE timetable
The management of the National Teaching Council (NTC) has released the 2024 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) timetable for the examination to be administered for PGDE and Degree Holders in March of this academic year.
The GTLE timetable comes after the Ghana Teaching Council in a blog post sighted by Thisterm.com said registration for the national examination (GTLE) will end on February 20, 2024, with no further extension of the deadline.
“Candidates must complete their online registration no later than 20th February 2024. There will be no extension in the time for registration beyond the 20th February 2024 deadline,” the management of the Council said in the post.
According to National Teaching Council (NTC) responsible for the conduct of the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE), all fresh candidates shall write three papers which comprise the
i. General Professional Knowledge paper. This paper comprises numeracy, literacy, and essential professional skills contents.
ii. Grade-level Specialism Pedagogy paper. The pedagogies are differentiated by levels of specialisation. That is Early Grade or Early Childhood, Primary and JHS, SHS/SHTS and Technical Vocational Schools.
iii. Multiple Subjects Content or Single Subject Content Knowledge (subject specialism).
a) Multiple Subjects Content: prospective teachers who are trained for Early Grade/Early Childhood or Primary levels will write Multiple Subjects Content Paper.
b) Single Subject Specialism: prospective teachers who are trained for junior high, senior high or TVET will write one paper in their areas of specialisation.

GTLE registration process
1. Dial the shortcode *772*51# to make payment via mobile money across all networks or visit any branch of Prudential Bank Ltd nationwide.
2. Where payment is made at the bank, candidates must remember to take their Pin and Serial Number from the bank.
3. Log on to exams.ntc.gov.gh
4. Enter your e-voucher Serial number and Pin
5. Fill in all the fields and remember to upload your passport-size photograph.
GTLE guidelines
1. Any person who is not qualified or does not have his/her details on the examination portal and goes ahead to make any payment will not have a refund of the money.
2. NTC will not accept any request for a change of photograph after the examination.
3. Review the information provided before submitting.
4. Print a Summary of the inputs made.
5. Read the examination regulations and check the box before submission.
6. Candidates should keep their Pin and Serial Numbers secured after registration for further use.
7. Candidates must complete their online registration not later than 20th February 2024
8. There will be no extension in the time for registration beyond the 20th February 2024 deadline.
9. The dress code should be formal or professional.
10. No baby at the examination hall.
