NTC opens a portal for 2024/25 ‘traditional’ GTLE resit registration
The National Teaching Council (NTC) has opened the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) resit registration portal for candidates who wrote the traditional (numeracy, literacy and essential professional skills ) but could not pass some papers to register to resit.
In a blog post sighted by Thisterm.com, the management of the Teaching Council said the unsuccessful candidates are to apply online at https://exams.ntc.gov.gh and complete the application form for the licensure examination.
Fees for GTLE resit
a) Candidates who are re-sitting a paper are to pay GHȻ 150.00.
b) Candidates who are re-sitting two (2) papers are to pay GHȻ 210.00.
c) Candidates who are re-sitting all three (3) papers are to pay GHȻ 385.00.
Payment can be made at any branch of Prudential Bank Ltd nationwide or mobile money payment can be made through the short code *772*51# across all networks.
For in-banking payment, candidates must notify the bank as re-sitting one, two or three papers.
• Take Pin and Serial No. from the Bank after payment.
• Log onto exams.ntc.gov.gh
• Enter your e-voucher Serial no. and Pin
• Fill in all the fields and remember to upload your passport-size photograph.
NOTE 1:
This registration is only for re-sit candidates of the traditional GTLE. As a result of the implementation of GTLE reform which started last year, the Council is giving a final chance to candidates who have outstanding papers to write in the traditional GTLE (Essential Professional Skills, Literacy and Numeracy).
After this, there will be no examination for the traditional subjects in 2024 and beyond. Any candidate of the traditional GTLE who would like to write GTLE afterwards will have to start afresh with the reformed GTLE in 2024 and beyond.
Note 2:
NTC will not accept any request for a change of photograph after the examination.
• Review the information provided and submit.
• Print Summary of the inputs made.
• Read the examination regulations and tick the tick-box before submission.
• Candidates should keep their PIN and Serial Numbers secured after registration for further use after the examination.
Note 3:
• Completed application forms should be received online not later than 22nd April 2024.
• There will be no extension in time for registration beyond the 22nd April 2024 deadline.
• The dress code should be formal. No bathroom slippers.
• No baby in the examination hall.
The purpose of the Licensure Examination is to enable qualified teachers to acquire a professional licence and to ascertain whether candidates meet the demands of the National Teachers’ Standards on professional knowledge, practice, values, and attitudes necessary to deliver effectively in schools.
