NSS releases university students, others pincodes for 2024 Service
The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released pincodes for a total of 122,476 final-year Ghanaian students from all accredited universities in the country to enable them to commence national service for the 2024/2025 service year.
In a statement shared with Thisterm.com, NSS said the pin codes for Ghanaian students who have completed their studies overseas, defaulters and private applicants who have registered to enrol for their mandatory national service.
“All prospective national service personnel are therefore requested to log onto the Scheme’s website at nss.gov.gh to access their PIN Codes with their respective school Index Numbers and Dates of Birth,” it said in the statement.
Prospective service personnel according to NSS are to proceed to any ADB Bank Ltd. branch with their PIN Codes and pay GH¢40.00, or may opt to use the MTN MoMo service to make a payment of GH¢41.00 to activate the enrolment process.
The registration for the 2024/2025 academic year national service opened Wednesday, June 19, 2024 the management of the Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) says will close on Friday, July 19, 2024.
“Management wishes to urge all prospective national service personnel to complete the enrolment process carefully to prevent any errors that could negatively impact the deployment exercise,” the Ghana Service Scheme stated.
How to generate NSS PIN Code
1. Visit the NSS Pin portal
2. Enter your Index Number or Student ID number
3. Enter your Date of Birth
4. Click on Search
5. When logged in your dashboard, Review the biodata displayed, including your pin code, full name, institution, course of study, and year of enrollment.
6. Copy the provided pin code.
7. Use the copied pin code as a reference for the activation payment
After you have successfully created your PIN, the subsequent step is the activation of the PIN Code.
How to activate NSS PIN Code
1. Dail *170# on your mobile device
2. Select option 2 for Pay Bill
3. Choose General Payments (Option 6)
4. Enter the Payment code as – NSS PINCODE (type NSS, put a space, then type your PINCODE). The menu will return to your name for confirmation.
5. Enter the deposit amount (GH¢41.00).
6. Input “NSS” as a reference.
7. Enter your PIN to confirm the payment.
Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation message for the transaction, allowing you to proceed with your NSS Registration.
