MoE PRO loses the Asante Akyem North primary to incumbent MP
The Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Education, Kwasi Kwarteng in his bid to become a Member of Parliament of Asante Akyem North constituency has lost the NPP Parliamentary primary to incumbent MP, Honourable Andy Appiah Kubi.

I want to express my sincere appreciation to Hon Andy Appiah Kubi for his victory. Congratulations on winning the primaries. I’ve reached out to him to extend my congratulations and have pledged my unflinching support to work together towards the 2024 general elections.

Meanwhile, in a survey, the Ashanti Regional Caucus of the Friends of Bawumia (FOB), ahead of the January 27, 2023 primaries, projected the Education Ministry spokesperson to win the Asante Akyem North constituency seat.
The comprehensive opinion survey conducted among 300 selected delegates from the Asante Akim North constituency aimed to gauge voting preferences and trends within the constituency.
The survey delved into various aspects concerning the candidates, including their perceived strengths, preferences, commitment to specific candidates, assessment of candidate information, and predictions regarding the undecided voters.
The breakdown of the delegate preferences is as follows:
Andy Kwame Appiah Kubi: – 25%
Kwadwo Baah Agyemang: -8%
Stephen Obeng Saka: – 5%
Kwasi Kwarteng: -42%
Dr. S. K. Frimpong: -20%
