MoE and TEJ launch an educational TV show dubbed EduTalkShow
The Ministry of Education (MoE) as part of an effort to improve education in the country has partnered with the Teacher Education Journal (TEJ) to present a 30-minute educational television show dubbed EduTalkShow.
The EduTalkShow is to provide an opportunity for stakeholders and key players within Ghana’s education sector to talk about the work they are doing and the dynamics and critical factors in achieving a transformative educational system.
“It starts airing on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, on Joy Prime TV at 9:00 PM and repeats on Sunday, September 17, 2023, on Joy News TV at 6:30 PM, the Teacher Education Journal (TEJ) said in a post sighted by Thisterm.com.
The launch of the television educational show comes after a spokesman for the Education Ministry, Kwasi Kwarteng in 2022 said his outfit as part of efforts to improve teaching and learning in due course will launch a television station.
Speaking on UTV’s Mpu ne Mpu show monitored by Thisterm, the spokesperson said the Education Ministry in collaboration with the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS) have created a studio.
“The Ministry of Education in partnership with CENDLOS have created a studio. Content creation as I speak is currently ongoing. So hopefully in no time, the Ministry will have its own television station,” he told the host of Mpu ne Mpu.
Kwarteng’s comment comes after the Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum launched the five ultra-modern content generation studios to boost e-learning and the digitization of manual content across all levels of learning.
The state-of-the-art studio, the Minister in charge of education said is hosted by the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS), an agency under the auspices of the Ministry of Education (MoE).
“The studios are part of the CENDLOS vision of making Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education effective and efficient, accessible and affordable to all students
