KNUST ends postal submission of admission forms for the 2024/25
The management of the Kwame Nkrumah Univesity of Science and Technology (KNUST) will no longer accept the posting of admission forms through the post office, a source close to the Kumasi-based university has announced.
In a blog post sighted by Thisterm.com, the source said beginning from the 2024/2025 academic year, all application processes will be done online adding that submission of admission forms hard copy to the university is prohibited.
“KNUST will no longer accept the posting of admission forms through the post office. All application processes beginning from the 2024/2025 academic year will be done online. Applicants should not submit a hard copy of the application to the University,” it said.
Meanwhile, the authorities of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have opened the admissions portal for the 2024/2025 academic year for applicants to apply to study various courses offered by the university.
How to apply for KNUST admission
WASSCE/SSSCE
WASSCE/SSSCE Holders who have credit passes (A1-C6/A-D respectively) in the following Three (3) Core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science plus credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in Three Elective subjects with an Aggregate Score of 24 or better in the relevant area of study.
G/ABCE
Credit passes in at least SIX (6) subjects including English Language and Business Mathematics at the GBCE and, Credit passes in the THREE (3) relevant Compulsory subjects and THREE (3) Optional subjects at the ABCE. Applicants need both GBCE and ABCE to qualify.
ADVANCED LEVEL Holders with credit passes in at least Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics plus at least Three (3) credit passes in the relevant subjects at the Advanced Level.
Mature Students
Mature students who have attained the age of 25 years or above at the time of Application and have credit passes in Five (5) GCE ‘O Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to passing an Entrance Examination and/or Interview.
HND Holders
HND Holders with Three (3) years relevant working experience in addition to the Minimum Entry Requirements at WASSCE/SSSCE or Five (5) credit passes at GCE O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.
International applicants
International Applicants and all others who have any of the above qualifications or their equivalent from an accredited/recognized institution may apply. Applicants from French-speaking countries must in addition to the Minimum Requirement provide a minimum of one-year English Proficiency Certificate.
