GNACOPS launches Education TV to educate, inspire and entertain
The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) as part of an effort to educate, inspire and entertain the public, particularly students and relevant stakeholders in the education sector has launched an online media channel dubbed Education TV.
The National Executive Director of GNACOPS, Mr Enoch Gyetuah in a social media post sighted by Thisterm.com said he will be featured on the channel every Monday at 7:00 PM to discuss matters related to the country’s education.
Scheduled to commence on Monday, January 29, 2024, Obengfo Kwasi Gyetuah said a programme dubbed Let’s Talk Education will host him to discuss the new format of the Basic Education Certificate Examination in the new curriculum.
The educational talk show, the Director of the Ghana Private Schools Council (GNACOPS), will be streamed live on various social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube and its official website https://gnacops.org.
In related news, the Ministry of Education (MoE) as part of an effort to improve education in the country has partnered with the Teacher Education Journal (TEJ) to present a 30-minute educational television show dubbed EduTalkShow.
The EduTalkShow is to provide an opportunity for stakeholders and key players within Ghana’s education sector to talk about the work they are doing and the dynamics and critical factors in achieving a transformative educational system.
“It starts airing on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, on Joy Prime TV at 9:00 PM and repeats on Sunday, September 17, 2023, on Joy News TV at 6:30 PM, the Teacher Education Journal (TEJ) said in a post sighted by AcademicWeek.com.
The launch of the television educational show comes after a spokesman for the Education Ministry, Kwasi Kwarteng in 2022 said his outfit as part of efforts to improve teaching and learning in due course will launch a television station.
Speaking on UTV’s Mpu ne Mpu show monitored by AcademicWeek, the spokesperson said the Education Ministry in collaboration with the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS) have created a studio.
