GETFund opens a portal for 2024 postgraduate foreign scholarship
The management of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has opened its portal to accept applications for Postgraduate (Masters Programmes) for the award of Foreign scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The GETFund in a social media post sighted by Thisterm.com said the 2024/2025 academic year Postgraduate Scholarship application window opened on June 3, 2024, and will close on June 16, 2024.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a Ghanaian
- Must have obtained admission to undertake a Masters or Undergraduate -Medicine Only (Eastern Europe & Asia)
- Must hold a first degree of at least second-class (for Master’s applicants).
- Must be available to start academic studies by the start of the academic year for which you seek sponsorship
- Applicant must not be pursuing a PhD or Master’s degree at the time of the application
- Applicant should not be a previous beneficiary of a GETFund Foreign Scholarship and applying for same scholarship category (Masters or PhD)

- Admission Letter from an accredited University (Unconditional & Financial Condition letters only)
- Fee Schedule
- Previous academic certificates (Where Applicable)
- Previous transcript (Where Applicable)
- Project or Research proposal (not exceeding 5 pages) (Masters and PhD Applicants)

- Curriculum Vitae
- Academic Referees
- Letter of Recommendation (occupational)
- Support Document from employer for Academic Leave (Where applicable)
- Passport Bio Page
- Ghana Card
- National Service certificate. (Where Applicable)
Application Procedure
All interested and qualified applicants are required to visit the GETFund website at https://getfund.gov.gh/scholaship-apply and access the portal in order to complete the online application form.

- Fill Application Form and upload required documents
- Review Application Summary
- Submit Application
According to GETFund, applicants must fill out the online form with the required information, adding that scanned copies of the necessary documentation must be uploaded for vetting and shortlisting purposes.
