The Education Service in a social media post sighted by Thisterm.com said the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School students’ results are the best outcome in the past nine (9) years.

“Congratulations to all 2023 WASSCE candidates! You’ve given us the best results in 9 years. Management commends all teachers, parents and the entire Ghana Education Service fraternity for the excellent work done,” the GES said.

In a related story, the Vice-President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia says the results of the 2023 WASSCE students many Ghanaians have described as good reflects the hard work of students who sat for the examination.

In a social media post sighted by Thisterm.com, Bawumia quizzed why some individuals still doubt the performance of the 2023 WASSCE graduates and the integrity of their outcomes despite their enormous effort for this achievement.

“Our SHS students go from Keta SHS to Harvard University and excel Our girls at Mamfe Senior High go for a world competition in robotics and win against teams from the USA, Germany and South Korea. Our boys from Prempeh College have won robotics world competitions against global competition many times.

Why do some always believe that it is impossible for our students or our people to be the best? It is possible! Congratulations to WASSCE students for their excellent performance in the examination,” Dr Bawumia said in the post.

A total of 447,204 candidates, made up of 211,834 males and 235,370 females drawn from 975 public and private Senior High Schools entered for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School.
