GES give update on recruitment of 2022 university degree holders
The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr Eric Nkansah says his outfit under the auspices of the Ministry of Education (MoE) is pressing for financial clearance to recruit university degree holders and diplomates.
The GES Director-General’s comment comes after he was asked under his social media post sighted by Thisterm.com if university degree holders in education will be considered for recruitment into service this academic year.
“We are pressing for financial clearance for university degree holders and diplomates. when we get there, we will follow the same process,” the GES Director gave this answer to the question of university degree holders’ recruitment.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance’s (MoF) financial clearance for the management of the Ghana Education Service under the Education Ministry to recruit new graduates into service for this year will expire on December 31, 2024.
An official of GES in a discussion with Thisterm.com said the management of his outfit is working tirelessly to ensure more graduate teachers are recruited into service this year before the end of the recruitment clearance deadline.
He expressed hope that the Ghana Education Service (GES) before December 31, 2024, will recruit another batch of tertiary graduates who have completed national service and sat and passed the teacher licensure examination.
“We hope that we recruit more graduates before the end of December 31, 2024, because our financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance is to ensure that we employ before December 31, 2024,” the GES official noted.
The staff of the Education Service further advised tertiary institution graduates seeking to be employed into service to pay attention to job announcements put out by his outfit in terms of what criteria the recruitment financial clearance is.
In other news, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) through the Ministry of Education (MoE) has given the Ghana Education Service (GES) financial clearance to recruit first-batch degree holders from government Colleges of Education.
In a post sighted by Thisterm.com, the management of the Education Service said the recruitment portal will be open from May 15, 2024, to June 17, 2024, adding that applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

• Enhancing learners’ research abilities
• Teaching and supporting diverse learners
• Attending professional development sessions
• Conducting assessments and reporting on learner progress
• Other duties assigned by the Head of the Institution
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have graduated from a public CoE in 2022 with a first degree
- Have no outstanding examinations or referrals
- Have completed mandatory National Service
- Be willing to work at any location assigned
Application Process
Interested candidates should submit their applications through the GES online portal at gespromotions.gov.gh
They must upload the following documents:
- Degree Certificate
- NSS Certificate
- NTC Licensure Number
- Ghana Card
- Passport-sized photograph
If this is true then is better but without that I don’t things thousands of Ghanaians will vote for NPP, thousands of diploma and degree graduates from various universities are still unemployed and if we don’t get employment this year we’ll vote against NPP, they must employ diploma and degree from universities before elections if not we will vote for NDC.
